This was my first recipe (found it at allrecipes.com), taking it slow...

PREP TIME
15 Min

COOK TIME
15 Min

Original recipe yield 12 pancakes

1 cup uncooked rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons dry milk powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 banana, mashed

DIRECTIONS
Place the rolled oats into the jar of a blender and blend until the texture resembles coarse flour. Whisk together the blended oats, whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, dry milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
Whisk together the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Stir in the mashed banana. Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Let the batter stand for 5 minutes.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat. Drop batter by large spoonfuls onto the griddle, and cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry, about 2 minutes. Flip, and cook until browned on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter.

I made it exactly as is (except I made 1/2 banana and 1/2 chocolate chip because Glen hates bananas). I really liked the banana batch!! In my searching I found this blog with this recipe. This is almost like burritos that I make that are a family fave, but I've never thought of freezing them because they don't last long enough. We tried these tonight and it was really easy, good & just the single batch was enough for dinner tonight and freeze enough for another meal :).

1 lb. of cooked hamburger
16 oz. of Salsa1
16oz can of Refried
package of taco seasoning mix
16- 8" flour tortillas
4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

First, in a pan add beef, salsa beans and taco seasoning. Cook until heated thoroughly, stirring often. Next, spray a non-stick skillet and then heat on medium-low heat. One at a time, put the tortillas in the skillet, heating for about 30 seconds on each side. (I did this, but don't know if I'd do it again, I think it makes them crunchy & I'm not a big fan?)

Once the shells are heated, place each of them on their own individual small square of tin foil. Next add some of the meat mixture in the middle. Top with a small amount of cheese. Then, fold in the sides and the ends to basically seal the meat/cheese mixture inside. Place the folded tortilla at the end of the tin foil and roll it up in the tin foil, folding over each end. Place each of these individual chimichangas into one large Ziploc bag that's dated and labeled. You should be able to get at least 16 chimichangas out of the recipe.

When you are ready to eat these, throw them on a cookie sheet in the tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. I kind of mixed a few recipes, rigged this up and it turned out pretty good-the kids polished off every last crumb!
I just made the pizza recipe on this blog, from MIchelle I think. When it was done rising I divided it into two-put first half on greased cookie sheet. Topped with pizza sauce, pepperoni and moz. cheese. Then I took the other half and covered it (ok well, the recipe that I got the idea from was for refrigerated pizza dough, didn't have that so i improvised) Now, I would suggest either using the ref. stuff or doubling this batch, or not trying to make it cover the whole pan-I couldn't do it at least, not that that means much. Anywho.. then I cute like 3 rectangles and then cut them into triangles, kinda closed them down and sprinkled with parm. cheese. Bake 15-19 minutes at 400 degrees.. Anyways, let me know if anyone tries this and how it worked out?

Berry Blend

1/4 c. milk
6 Tbsp honey
80z cream cheese
2 cups each frozen blueberries and rasberries

Blend first 3 ingredients until well blended; then add fruit and blend.
This is really YUMMY!! This one is so easy and so yummy!
1 cup. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup margarine
1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
Mix flour, sugar, salt baking powder, and garlic powder in a bowl. Cut margarine in with a pastry blender like you do for a pie crust (until crumby). Add cheese and stir to coat with flour. Add milk all at once and stir gently until just incorporated (whatever that means). The dough should be very soft but still hold together. Drop dough by tablespoon full onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly brown.

Hamburger Hawaiian

1/2 c. canned evap. milk
1 1/2 lb ground beef (I just use 1)
1/2-3/4 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 t. salt
13 ounce can pineapple chunks
2 T. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. soy sauce
1 c. green pepper, strips
Combine milk, beef, crumbs, onion and salt. I usually start boiling the water at this point if I have already chopped the veggies. Then add onion celery and pepper to the sausage and saute. (drain the grease ) In your boiling water add the soup mix and just stir it in you can stop the cooking it at this point. (the reason you do boiling water is to dissolve all the chicken bullion in the soup mix other wise you get some spots of really salty seasoned rice and some that is very bland) In a 9x9" pan (or 9x13" if you double it) put the rice in the bottom then add the hot soup mix and then spoon on the sausage mixture on top. This is such a super good meal! Enjoy.

This recipe is taken from The Pampered Chef "Season's Best" recipe collection

Cheese Chowder

first ingredients:

2 1/2 cups water
4 cups potatoes (peeled and cubed)
3 cups carrots (i use baby carrots and cut them in half, but you can do what ever way you'd like)
1 1/2 cups celery (sliced in small pieces)
1 cube butter
5 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 cup diced onion
a little salt and pepper

2nd ingredients:

1/2 cups water
2 cups milk
1/4 cup flour
2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or anything orange)

Put first ingredients in pot and bring to a boil--then turn to medium and cover it (stir once in a while). Can sprinkle with salt if you'd like. Put on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Let cool for a few minutes then slice each potato in half lengthwise. Spoon out middle of each potato half and put in bowl for mixing. Mix Potatos with the buttermilk & ranch seasoning. Mix well with potato masher. (Can add more buttermilk to the texture you would like. ) Spoon mixture back into the potato halves and top it off with shredded cheese. Put back in the oven to melt the cheese and you are done!
