Pizza Dough-
We've tried a few different dough recipes, but so far this is my favorite!!
1 T active dry yeast
1-1/3 c warm water
5t sugar
4t canola oil
1/4 t salt
1/4t garlic salt
1/4t dried oregano
3 1/4-3 1/2c flour
*in bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add the sugar, oil, salt, garlic salt, oregano and 1 1/2 c flour. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to form a soft dough.
*turn onto floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
*wrap foil over the outside of two 12 inch pizza pans; grease.
*Now the recipe (Food Fun magazine Sept. 2009) says to grill it. Since we don't have a grill I just add my toppings and then bake 350 for 20-30 minutes.

Easy BBQ Pizzas
I know I saw this on Sam the Cooking Guy awhile back, we tried it and liked it. But now I can't find the exact recipe, so this is all I remember and you can add what you like? Since pillsbury grand biscuits & chicken are on sale this week...
1 can biscuits
bbq sauce
shredded chicken (I just used bottled/canned)
cheese
Easy.. Flatten biscuits on pan, add bbq sauce, chicken and cheese and bake. Yummy pizzas :)
*We also do pizza/spagetti sauce & pepperoni pizzas with these.

Pizza Pockets
So last night we decided to do picnic and movie (Lion's King) on the living room floor.. I kind of mixed a few recipes, rigged this up and it turned out pretty good-the kids polished off every last crumb!
I just made the pizza recipe on this blog, from MIchelle I think. When it was done rising I divided it into two-put first half on greased cookie sheet. Topped with pizza sauce, pepperoni and moz. cheese. Then I took the other half and covered it (ok well, the recipe that I got the idea from was for refrigerated pizza dough, didn't have that so i improvised) Now, I would suggest either using the ref. stuff or doubling this batch, or not trying to make it cover the whole pan-I couldn't do it at least, not that that means much. Anywho.. then I cute like 3 rectangles and then cut them into triangles, kinda closed them down and sprinkled with parm. cheese. Bake 15-19 minutes at 400 degrees.. Anyways, let me know if anyone tries this and how it worked out?
